Hybrid African Paradise-Flycatcher (Terpsiphone viridis) x Black-headed Paradise-Flycatcher (Terpsiphone rufiventer)
The partial white band on the wing, between the rufous and the black feathers, shows that it is an hybrid between African Paradise-Flycatcher (Terpsiphone viridis) x Black-headed Paradise-Flycatcher (Terpsiphone rufiventer).
Pure African Paradise-Flycatcher (Terpsiphone viridis) males have white all along the wings and the chest and belly are black.
Pure Black-headed Paradise-Flycatcher (Terpsiphone rufiventer) males have no white at all on the wings and the chest and belly are rufous.
Hybrids have characteristics of both of them, like some black the chestnut breast and incomplete white on the wing, mixed with black and chestnut.
