never really get close enough though and the light was dreadful for a good capture but no excuses i will keep trying.

The lighting is always a problem when I'm trying to get these teals too so don't feel along. Still you have this for your album and maybe the next one will be better-don't give up, I'm not going to either.

Always hard with water reflections but I'd say you did damn well with this shot Mags.

That's a cracker Margaret - you've got some lovely plumage detail in there.
