Iberian green woodpecker

Iberian green woodpecker (Picus sharpei)

Very interesting to see this rare woodpecker on a palm. I was unaware that they even were in the region, and due to how shy they were I thought this would be the shyest bird I would see that day until the little bittern obliterated that dream by leaps and bounds. A remarkably difficult bird to observe.
