Little guy in a tree, just hanging out towards sunset.

Olympus E-M1 II, 300mm f/4, shot at 1/1600, f/4.5, ISO 2000. Cropped down to 2 MP (3.2x crop) for effective focal length 1925mm.

Is that a juvie Marc, or do the adults have that yellow on the bill base?

That's one beautiful sparrow, isn't it. And a super picture you've taken of him too - very well done lad.
 
My understanding is the white-crowned sparrow of any age can have a pinkish or yellow bill. I'm not sure if that's regional or just regular variation.

I classify it as an immature from the head coloring. It is still brown and has not darkened into the black stripes.
