In the magdalenian age.

A herd of horses in the Capcir mountains. French Pyrnes. July 2008.

The horses of the Mrens race are very close to the animals painted by our cro-magnon ancestors on the walls of the Niaux cave,in Arige,french Pyrnees,13000 years ago,during the last ice age.

In summer,the horses of this race live absolutely free in the mountain,above the tree-line.
It looks absolutely gorgeous, the blue and green, then the water glistening in the sun. Great shot Bernaed.
