Locally it is known as `Navrang` means - Nine colours, A true name as it has nine shades of colours. It`s pictures is on cover page of Indian birds book by foreign author.

Deciduous forest, Mango orchards.

Stunning capture of this extremely rare visitor to our place!!!! Shot it only once in last ten years!!!! Lovely post!!!
 
It is a beautifully coloured bird, and this is a top notch shot of it. Just a gorgeous shot, well done!
 
Will Hopefully get a chance to visit sri lanka later this year and hoping to see one of these.
