Indigo Buntings and Blue Grosbeaks
Indigo Buntings (males) (Passerina cyanea) and Blue Grosbeaks (males) (Passerina caerulea)
Habitat
Gulf Coast Marshes and Prairies vegetation area, barrier island, Laguna Madre Bay on the west side of the island and the Gulf of Mexico on the east side. Edge of a mesquite woodland at ca. 1 m (3.3 ft) elevation.
Location
East Sheepshead Street, South Padre Island, Cameron County, Texas, USA.

They look like violets in the grass. Beautiful birds indeed and an interesting perspective.
 
Almost like flowers,. Well spotted, probably impossible to overlook, and beautifully captured.
