There are times when the males take on a solitary demeanor. Just why is not certain; perhaps it is just a break from the energy expending demands of parenting. What ever the reason, a lone male has been wandering the known territory of it's designated area. It has come to the feeding stations along the familiar rout: alone. It take a long pull at quenching water on an excessively hot day: alone. It huddles in a damp hollow under a shaded shrub: relief from the Sun; alone. It descends the steep, rocky slope and mounts a rock cropping, and there it calls... there is no responce: alone. It settles upon the cropping and rests, servaying the area. Does it contemplate, reflect: it seems pensive: alone. When the scene is viewed again it is empty the lone bird has moved on. The observer contemplates the empty scene and does a bit of reflecting and is pensive and ponders...alone.
