Inquisitive Galah (Cacatua roleicapilla)

Watching me watching him...
The Galah is a common bird around Sydney and most of NSW. It is a medium sized cockatoo, they nest in the gum trees near my house and there have been a lot of chicks this year.

Gorgeous shot! I'm feeling nostalgic about Aussie birds; living in the US for the past 9 years - no wild parrots of any kind here! I really miss the colours.
