Is this a Corn Bunting?

Along with several others, this little bird was feeding on newly-laid turf at Gwithian, but I'm not sure what it is. The closest I can match it to is a Corn Bunting. I would welcome either confirmation or correction from someone more knowledgeable!
Thanks, Shirley Ann
Hi Shirley Ann.
Don't think this is a Corn Bunting looks like one of the Pipit family to me,Buntings to tend to have a thicker seed eating bill, someone on this forum will tell us which Pipit it is.
Very nice capture of this bird.
Cheers Keith.

Skylark for me as well. We've the odd one over wintering around here but not in the numbers we get some years.

Yup its a Skylark, three nice shots, welcome to Birdforum.Net, look forward to seeing more from you.

Thanks Keith, Gwynn, John, Ian and Mali. It does seem to be a skylark, now that I know what I'm looking for!!
