Isn't anybody coming to feed me?

Isn't anybody coming to feed me? (Erithacus rubecula)

To stave off boredom with this little guy, I've turned a few shots into a "story strip". This one is about my take on why he was sitting there chirping insistently. He was flying and his plumage was clearly in transition towards adulthood, but he still had some speckles, some down, and a hint of "begging beak" left, so I think perhaps his parents were weaning him off of feeding service. Any bird behaviorists out here who can confirm or deny the likelihood of that?

Oh that transition to adulthood for any species is difficult. Great picture of this little chap still wanting to be fed. Excellent work Doc!!!!
