Managed to get up close and personal with this darter the other morning. The cooler days are making them more and more approachable.

thanks guys. was fascinating to watch so close too - used the live view feature on my 40D for the first time and could see his lungs moving! At least I think that's what they were
 
You really have nailed the art of these Dragonfly shots Paul - this is tremendous, a fantastic series of shots and this has to be the pick of the crop - well done.
