It's my home!
Another one of Lanzarote's specialties.
I found that Barbary Partridges do not wander close to drivable tracks and so there is little chance to photograph them from the car. However they tend to use always the same perch for the territorial calls (look at the droppings....), and so arriving in the right place before dawn and waiting patiently (and absolutely still) the birds are not too shy and pose nicely for the photographer...
