This was taken at Ternery Pool, Rye. It has many many nesting sandwich terns and it is very much living up to it's name. Some of the youngsters have taken to the air but not yet this lot. I had a fabulous day watching them last week. The parents would come in continually with fish, everyone would squabble for the latest catch, including the parent on babysitting duty......I don't know if they managed to find the intended recipient and whether the right individual got the food. It was all so noisy and exciting!
