And no thaw yet in Creuse, Keith ;)...by the way, it's snowing again right now.

Wonderful plumage details in this high-contrast image. Great pose and expression too, like he's treading carefully in slippery footing.
 
He's studying something very carefully on that log! They look so much like crows, I wonder if their personalities and intellect are similar? As we are currently under knee-high snow, and expecting yet another N'or Easter, I simpathize with you on the weather. Stay warm!
 
Thank you, Bill ! Yes similar behaviour and personalities between crows and jackdaws : they are close relative species.
