Japanese_Waxwing_1_ (Bombycilla japonica)

Instead of the usual red terminal tip on his tail, this Japanese Waxwing had gone all out and the entire tail was bright red.

I had no idea that we had so few pics of them, Delia. There have been a few hanging around for the last couple of weeks. I'll have to fire up the Canon 7D and the Sigma 150-600mm tomorrow and see if I can find any of them for some higher quality images!
