Jerdon's leafbird
A pair..male above and female below... captured from the terrace of the resort we stayed at.. we just checked in late evening and decided to check the large trees adjoining/hugging the resort building.. it was 6.30 in the evening after sunset!!! Thanks to their sweet calls...now we are so familiar to their calls....their calls are so sweet to hear... But the purpose of our visit to this particular area (Sri Lankamalleswara Wildlife Sanctuary)was our avid interest in Jerdon's courser... to try and spot it at night ...but we were denied permission on safety grounds!!! Me and my friend of more than twenty five years..plan to get necessary permissions from WildLife Authorities and spend one month to try our luck...sometime in the future!!

A great image of both the male and female Kish!

The male doesn't seem to be in a good mood but the female does ;)

How wonderful to get these two gorgeous birds together, Kish.
