Juv. Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus)

Also at Washington WWT, this young Lapwing seemed almost comatose in the heat, keeping perfectly motionless as the rest of the birds were on the move looking for shade - Mallards and Greylags sitting under bushes for shelter from the sun
