Juvenile Bare-faced Ibis (or Whispering Ibis)
Hi friends,
I went out with my wife today for some pictures and we found these lovely birds on a mangrove area, hiding in the tree branches. It looked like a new species for us. It took us a long time to understand they were juvenile Ibis, which we only acknowledge when we saw an adult on a tree nearby watching its juveniles. It seems these juveniles are rarely photographed.
I'd like also to thank our friend Chris Holtby for helping me confirming the ID.

I'm so glad you managed some lovely time out with your wife today Celso.... and what a bonus to find this juvenile ibis.

We don't have a picture of a youngster in The Opus, so I'll decide which of the two to add to the article.

Many thanks for sharing this scarce Gallery visitor with us my friend.
