Juvenile Brown Goshawk overhead (Accipiter fasciatus)

Not much to photograph this morning except for a Wallaby in early morning light and this juvenile Brown Goshawk flying overhead. The rounded tail separates this species from the smaller Collated Sparrowhawk, which has a squar or slightly forked tail.Otherwise they look very much the same in juvenile and adult plumage.

mixed forest and open grassland
Location
Taromeo, Queensland -our place
Date taken
21st March 2016
Scientific name
Accipiter fasciatus
Equipment used
Canon 40D,400mm lens
Thank you all very much for your kind comments,BUT some of you have the idea that Judy doesn't handle a camera, but you would be wrong.Maybe not much these days, but she used to do all our movie photography and stilsl as well. She still grabs a camera regularly and if we sign as Hans&Judy we mean it!!!!!
