Juvenile Cattle Egret
Not often that we see these birds and they're quite timid - even using the car as a hide does not always guarantee success. This is probably as good as I've managed to get!

Superb catch here Brian.
In Portugal a farmer turning the land over with his tractor saw me and another trying to photograph these as they followed the tractor. He was a 100 yards away. He brought his tractor over to allow us to take pictures...We got close shots but they were difficult to nail. A decent farmer too:)
 
The sight is quite common here in India, you will more likely find the egrets where cattle graze. Lovely shot of this cattle companion, Brian!! tfs.
