Juvenile Herring Gull
This is to show Ann what I do when I can't PP the inconvenient grass/leaves/twigs etc... cut it off and show a close crop instead!!:-O

Some out of focus blades of grass cut right across his middle and tail, and I'd not a clue where to start to try and repair it, so you've got a close-up instead of the whole bird today.

I did try to re-position myself to get the grass out of the picture but it just wasn't possible without getting my feet wet, or falling into a bush!

LOL! Good you got a sharp enough shot for some cropping then. What program to dyou use for post-processing? If you have Lightroom, I can now walk you through the spot removal process. Couldn't have done that 2 days ago, but turned out it was fairly easy once I dared get started ... and as long as I could just reverse the process every time I got it wrong ;)

Been in your situation D. Often I'll use the free program FastStone to clone out stuff. Or, I'll crop it like you did. or, i'll leave the offending shrubbery in the photo and call it habitat! lol!
