Juvenile Redwing (Turdus iliacus)

One of these shot's where the setting's better than the capture of the bird. It's not the cutest of youngsters but I had never seen juvenile Redwings before my trip to Dalecarnia. This was the first of them though I saw a quite a few later on.
There was supposed to be a pair nesting at my local patch this year but I only saw one of the adults once.
Habitat
South Swedish Highlands
Location
Grvelsjn, Sweden
Date taken
19th July, 2007
Scientific name
Turdus iliacus
Equipment used
Canon 400d, 100-400mm IS
A bit scruffy but it is cute anyway! :bounce: You've got a lovely composition once more, Graham, the hanging lichen in those Northern Forests is amazing!!! :t: :t:
