Juvenile Striated Heron
Photographing juvenile birds is much easier than adults because they can be approached much closer. There were three juvenile herons on the tree and did not fly away when I approached.
Location
Cuiaba, Mato Grosso, Brazil
Scientific name
Butorides striatus
Equipment used
D1X, 300mm/2.8 AFN, @5.6
Thanks for three top shots Wes. Love the herons o:).... Makes me think of the marina where my yacht is moored, where we have night herons sitting on the masts etc.:clap::clap:
