A nice afternoon and I had to pop along to the nearest loch to see what was around. Not a lot sadly, but I enjoyed the outing.

Almost immediately after turning off the main road, there's a burn runs into the loch and there were a group of Mallards there, this was just three of them.

Most of the water was frozen, there were just a few areas ice free.

Lovely shot of this trio Delia! We had a score of these guys now that my neighbor is feeding them corn! I see them all the time flying around getting some exercise and crash landing in the pond! tfs it lass!

As for your gale ... I think that must be the one that's forecast for the coast here tomorrow. If so, then it'll be calm again in your area ... until the next one shows up, of course.
