Kestrel Pair

The female was perched for a good half hour or so and then the male turned up. He landed a quite a bit away, but below the female, and proceeded to crawl closer to her with his head bowed throughout that journey. I'm guessing the body language of the female meant the male was fine to take his place beneath the female, mind you she didn't exactly make a song and dance about it as she looked completely disinterested by his presence. The male spent a few minutes preening, went to the toilet and fell asleep; while the female stayed alert.
