Killdeer (broken-wing act)
Killdeer (Charadrius vociferus subsp. vociferus) Sexes similar. This protective mom was playing the broken-wing act to lure me away from her precocial youngsters. Lol, it worked. Two excellent captures Stanley. This bird looks a real mixture with all those different colours and textures. It should have joined RADA with the show it's putting on. Lol.

Lovely detailed image of this killdeer Stanley! Is it doing that broken wing trick to lead you away from a nest? I got some shots of that a few years ago. Tfs it, three great posts today!!
