Kinder but... (Vanellus tricolor)

.... not so sensible as dad!!

I managed to get a picture of one of the youngsters wandering out in the full sun. You can see he's browner and the red wattles aren't yet fully developed.

At one point it was rather funny; there was a thin shadow cast by a light pole and most of the birds had lined themselves up on it LOL
