Kingfisher on a Rock (Alcedo atthis)

Back from two wonderful weeks in Crete, only got five species while we were there. We are feeling very cold now we are back in UK. It was a Kingfisher paradise by the sea.

So that's where I need to go to see Kingfishers, eh? I guess I'll just give up trying along streams in Wales :S

A great perch this Kingfisher chose. Fabulous lighting, focus, detail, colors, and setting. First-class Donald!!!
