Kingfisher over the Cam (Alcedo atthis)

The same kingfisher which I encountered appeared again in the same area. At first it was sitting on a concrete embankment before flying off to take up position on the tree.

Nice catch of a splash of colour in the city ... As long as there's fish, Kingfishers never seem to mind about the scenery.

Thank you. Definitely strange to see it there, right by a busy motorway. I have seen some kingfishers that fly off at 20 metres. Very interesting
