KINGFISHER PORTRAIT (alcedo atthis)

i hit brandon marsh on thursday for kingfishers but after 9 hours vigil it was a no show for me. so i decided to give them another go yesterday. this time they did not dissapoint. after only a 20 minute wait they showed up and put on a display better than R.A.F. Fairford.

Great shot.I think I know this bird.It often visits the perching poles in front of the Carlton Hide.
