Taken in low light. But as it was still, was able to use a slow shutter speed , allowing f8 to be used..Patiently waited for 30 minutes for it to arrive at its usual post..Decided not to over crop, so as to show more of the environment

It's always nice to get a good close image of a bird. But it's also nice to see the world the bird is perched in. Great capture of the kingfisher and thanks for letting us get a peek at it's surroundings. Lovely photo, tfs!

Well said about cropping BH. Sometimes it is nice to see more of the surrounding area as this capture proves. A very well presented and colourful detailed pose, well done.
