La tricolore
Just back from a trip to California and finally ... well, almost ... caught up with photo editing - just in time for one very busy week and then off on a week's birding field trip to Malaga. Anyhooo, thought I'd check in while I have a small window of time. And for my "theme" tonight I thought I'd share my two lifers and one near-lifer from the trip. I'd never seen Tri-colored Blackbirds before, but apparently they flock to Gualala, CA every winter. I caught the last few days of their winter stay and saw not only one, but a flock of at least 60 hanging around Surf Market together with the year-round parking lot flock of Brewer's Blackbirds and a handful of Redwing Blackbirds.
