Lacrimose Mountain Tanager
Lacrimose Mountain Tanager (Anisognathus lacrymosus subsp. palpebrosus) Sexes similar. I posted this species earlier but they are such fabulous birds and I needed to justify my taking so many photos when I had the opportunity (lol). North of Valladolid, Zamora-Chinchipe Province, Ecuador.
Habitat
Secondary montane cloud forest at edge of Reserva Tapichalaca at ca. 1,900 m (6,234 ft) elevation.
