Since this specie is
near threatened ...
I thought it may be
worthwhile sharing a
bit of their
behavior ...

It was
Pre-monsoon and
the pair formation
was going on
in right earnest ...

The courtship display
given on ground
involved vocalizing
puffing, crest raising
wing-stretching
... head bobbing and
stooping ...
and spinning close to
the potential
mate ... the whole
ceremony looked quite
interesting ...
We have some of it in
a video-recording we
could do on that day ...
