Lapwing sketch 3 (Vanellus vanellus)

Nearly finished the sketch. Ive filled in the feathers and added the all important purple patch on the 'shoulder'. There is still a little to do with the mantle and wings - it lacks some form and is very flat. I may redo this in oils and get the detail much tighter. Had good fun with this sketch.
