Last encounter with a Rufous-collared Sparrow

Last encounter with a Rufous-collared Sparrow (Zonotrichia capensis)

Guests just left. It's going on 1am Monday. I have to get to hospital early tomorrow for some blood tests. Supposed to be on an empty stomach, but goodness knows when my stomach will count as empty after today's food orgy ;)
Anyhoo ... three quick posts, finish packing away the leftovers, then off to bed.
This Rufous-collared was a treat on my last day in Buenos Aires. Not just because they're such cute birds, but also because it was wonderful to recognize his song even before I saw him. Diego had taught me well |=)|

I take it you had a good feast then Ann and made a right little piggy of yourself!;)

Oh my... what a lovely bird this is - a really pretty sparrow.

Nice one lass.

Great over-the-shoulder pose and bird, Ann. I usually just have a cup of coffee in the morning, but I hate going without it for those "fasting" blood tests ;)

A beautifully detailed capture, Doc !!! Thanks for sharing.
Hope all goes well at the Hospital.
