Went to New York for a holiday, to see the sites like a proper tourist!! Empire State, Statue of Liberty etc...all very busy, noisy and quite hot :)
Last full day there nipped for a walk through Central park and having only managed to see Sparrows and Starlings for most of the holiday, saw (if not photographed!!) quite a few different birds in a short space of time before the tourist mode and shopping over took us again :)
Laughing Gull I guess (looking through my little book here) taken at another tourist hotspot, Liberty Island, whilst stopping after trying to do a selfie with the Statue of Liberty...I know, dodgy :)were a few of these birds around, though Ring Billed Gulls seemed far more common...however this gull was watching to see if it grab a quick meal from an unwitting tourist, fortunately I only had an ice cream, which was eaten very quickly before it melted in the heat :) - Mike
