Least Sandpiper (breeding plumage) (Calidris minutilla)

Least Sandpiper (Calidris minutilla) Sexes similar. Smallest of the Calidris sandpipers. The female often leaves the young with the males for a few days after hatching before she returns to help with the rearing duties.
