Two great behavior images going on here. Now hopefully everyone will leave them be.

Agreed. Actually in this case, the turtle had a badly damaged rear flipper and clearly had survived many challenges. The guide in the first picture helped to dig the hole in the sand for the turtle to lay eggs. The biggest risk isn't on the beach, its trawler fishing nets.
