Leopard (Panthera pardus)

I was pretty lucky with leopard sightings on this trip. However, it was peak season in the Mara and wherever there was even a rumour of a leopard madness ensued. A few times I asked my driver to leave the area because there was no point in staying when cars ended up racing around senselessly trying to get the clients a really close view. If everybody had sat back and given the animals some space chances would have improved for everybody...
This particular cat was just relaxing.

savanna
Location
Masai Mara, Kenya

Panthera pardus

This is such a wonderful photo of this gorgeous leopard!
Priceless!
The "story" behind it is also fascinating. Ahhh, Homo-not-so-sapiens! LOL!

Stunning!

Great picture and great expression of the cat itself. According how it keeps the tail it must really have been relaxed.

A really laid back cat and a great shot. I think the Mara has had its day, give Zambia a try and get away from the crowds.

Gerry.
