Lesser Redpoll (Carduelis cabaret)

These birds absolutely made my day! I went in search of waterfowl and parked by the lake.
A small group of about eight birds flittered around in the vegetation and I wasn't sure what they were. Until I came home and looked at the photos in detail I thought they were mostly Siskins.
Closer checks revealed Lesser Redpoll, a bird I had never seen until two weeks ago, and a couple of decent shots out of the hundred or so I took.
