Let the Troll Roll

Let the Troll Roll (Parus trollus)

I guess you are starting thinking that I've gone "cabin crazy", by insisting on uploading dark, high-ISO images containing "too-small" birds. And maybe I am out on a "mission impossible" when trying to put into an image, what I feel when out in the forest. But failing that attempt, seems less important than not trying to "reveal" the existance of "trolls" in our forests (that was the final nail in the "cabin-crazy coffin"!!!)
Habitat
Magic forest
Location
Deep forest
Date taken
02-NOV-2006
Scientific name
Parus trollus
Equipment used
Camera - 100-400 lens ISO800
Thanks everybody!!!
Aki - I laughed my ass off at your conclusion: "Let the Troll Roll" :teeth: Next time, when I have stones too in the image the title is a given : "Rock and Troll"!!

Each person has another way of looking at bird photos and another feeling about. This one go down well with everyone.

Hans, when you start using an ultra wide-angle lens in the forest at night to capture a wren in the tops branches of a huge tree I'll know you have finally flipped. This one seems reasonably sane and nicely moody. ;)

Thanks Reini and Tim! "reasonable sane" sounds comforting Tim , but if I should believe your cropping methods, it is "doable" :teeth:

This made me think of the horror pictures made by Hans Arnold. Theres definitely a troll showing in the upper right corner, threatening the lovely willow.Looks like its in need of qualified dental surgery! Im a "woody" myself, but I think twice before entering this forest of yours,Hans! Insanity is not an issue here,as long as you can press the shutter! :) Nice evocative image. Well done,Hans

Thanks Ove - I especially like your definition of "sanity"! Yes, Arnold was especially good at drawing images with innocent-looking women, that on closer inspection were anything but innocent...The Trolls I had in mind, were the small and kinder type, popping up like a Willow or the like, from the darkness. One had to put out a plate with porridge or the like, to keep them in good mood - I try peanuts just to be on the safe side  I see now the troll you are referring to - like an x-ray image from a dentist clinic!
