Lifer! (Branta canadensis)

Hi all, these guys were on the river Ax as the tide was going out. My sister wanted me to go out so that she could show me around before jet-lag set in as had only arrived in UK that morning! To get a 'lifer' was wonderful and there were about twenty of them, only time I saw them!

Oooh!!! Well done on this Lifer Nora. Nice looking geese these.

They seem to be distributed rather patchily throughout the UK, as I rarely see them here, though am doing so more often this last year or so.

You sure didn't waste much time kicking off your Brit List, did you lassie. Thanks for sharing it with us my friend.
