That is very strange looking buzzard. Never seen one like that before. Strange eyes and a very ling tail. Great shot though, whatever it is.

Agree this isn't a common buz, very heavy legs and bill plus a striped long tail, more like an Goshawk?? Great shot though. Cheers

A great capture. Got me stumped. If it's odd looking I usually go with Buzzard as they're so varied.

Those are some feet for a goshawk. I cannot find another picture with a Gos with as chunky legs and feet as this. Also the toes are quite short. Definately a strange one. Shame we can't see the inner talon as the Goshawks inner talon is very long.

There is no way this is a Buzzard but it seems to have chunky buteo feet.

This is always the problem when a "not birder" likes to take photographs .

You can see the inner talon as it is standing on its left leg and it's almost the same length as the hind talon.
