Little Black Top (Sylvia atricapilla)

Well folks,
You dont know how pleased I am to see this little bird in our garden. We only have a very small area to garden, as we are surrounded by roads on two sides, adjoined to a house on another, and live in quite a built up area. I see this little un out there a couple of times on tuesday, and once being harassed by the local Robin, so thought I had missed any chance of getting it in front of the lens. I put a load of stuff on the feeders yesterday, went inside, and on it popped straight away. I nipped upstairs to the back bedroom window, and Walluh!!! Sorry about it being a feeder shot, but I am just so very chuffed at getting this little bird in our garden.

Don't care about a feeder shot if you can get one of these lined up in your lens in your own back garden - jealousy will get me ... nowhere! Great shot mali

Great shot,Mali! Perfectly caught in the act of stealing your apples. Love the expression. Well done. :t:

I couldn't agree more Mali - never mind the feeders - it's the getting the bird in your garden. Fabulous, it's a lovely picture- and actually they are not that easy to get right. So many congratulations and lets hope we have many more Have had Brambling this week but the pics are not wonderful. Perhaps you have inspired me to post one now!!
