Little Devil

I have photographed these attractive species many times before, but had never seen the head dress erected so much. It is an adult with worn feathers ready for a molt before fall migration. Based on the somewhat muted colours, I believe it is a female.
Every time I look at this picture, the funny look of her hairdo brings a smile on my face. That's why I want to share it with you. Thanks for looking.

Great capture!:t::t::t: I've seen some awful looking molts, cardinals with half their feathers on their head gone. Very comical, must of been a run by fruiting.:D
