Little Female
I tried an experiment using 2 flashes. One on the camera with a betterbeamer and the other at a right angle using bounce flash. It was shot at 320 and f 7.1. A little more experimenting and I may get it right.

Another beautiful shot of this hummer Donny.

I haven't even begun to investigate the use of lighting and I know I need to when I see the lighting in your shots.

I like the motion blur to the wings, I use a betterbeamer on overcast days for fill. You've seem to have it down rather well.
