Little help KC (Anhinga anhinga)

This one is from Brookgreen gardens. Best I can find in my book is Anhinga but the book says they are black. Your thoughts.

definately an anhinga - native American translations means 'Snake bird" because of the way they cut through the water - cool shot
 
Yes, this is an anhinga. The back markings are sure. That is a female you have there. Very nice photo.

Ooh, lucky you. I had to go to Florida to add this one to my list ;)
 
I'm not familiar with this bird up here. That's some spectacular plumage and a great scene and shot!
