Little ringed plover - full frame!

This bird was super close, almost too close to focus! This shot is full frame, no cropping whatsoever, just resized with a quick tweak in photofiltre (free) - which reminds me - I should get photoshop!
My first 'real' outing with my new lens, and the detail on the original is excellent, you can see the sand on his stomach =)

400D + 400mm f/5.6 L
Great pic, Saw my first last week about 200m away, poor image digiscoped from that distance. Thanks for sharing.

Another thing i forgot to mention was that the light was so good today, I used ISO 100 and still got 1/1600! First time i've ever used this for bird photos i think.
Full frame and ISO 100 - surely this is what every wildlife photographer dreams of :-O:king:!
